Terms of use

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms explain how Moose works for learners and creators. By signing in, paying for a course or applying to teach, you agree to them. If something is unclear, write to us and a person will reply.

1. Who we are

Moose is a marketplace where creators sell video courses and learners buy them. You can reach us at moose@vixe.africa.

2. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your phone or email, or with Google. Keep your phone and email secure, because anyone who can read the code can open your account. Give us accurate details. You may close your account at any time from the Account page, which deletes your personal information as described in the privacy policy.

3. Buying a course

  • Prices are shown in Kenyan shillings. You pay once, with M-Pesa, and the course opens on your account when the payment goes through.
  • Your purchase is for your own learning. You may not share your account, or copy, resell or re-upload course videos and notes.
  • Some courses include a free preview lesson so you can see the teaching before you pay.

4. Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 7 days of paying, from the course page. The Moose team reviews each request. If it is approved, we send the money back to your M-Pesa and your access to the course ends. Requests outside the 7 days, or made in bad faith (for example after finishing the whole course), may be declined.

5. Creators

  • Every creator applies and is reviewed by a person before they can sell. We may ask for more detail, decline an application, or remove a creator or course that breaks these terms.
  • Creators own what they make. By uploading a course you give Moose permission to host it, show it to learners and promote it on the platform.
  • Creators must have the right to everything they upload, and must not upload anything that is illegal, misleading, hateful, or that copies someone else’s work.
  • Earnings are paid to the creator’s M-Pesa number after a holding period. The fee Moose keeps and the payout schedule are shown to creators in their studio before they publish.

6. Reviews and questions

You may rate a course you bought and ask its creator a question. Keep it honest and respectful. We may remove reviews and questions that are abusive, fake or unrelated to the course.

7. Things you must not do

  • Use Moose to break the law or to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
  • Try to get around payments, access courses you have not bought, or interfere with the service or its security.
  • Use bots or scrapers to copy course content.

We may suspend or close an account that does, and we may report serious cases to the authorities.

8. What we promise, and what we cannot

We work to keep Moose running and to make sure creators are who they say they are. Courses share a creator’s own knowledge and experience; Moose does not promise any particular result or income from taking a course. The service is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for losses is limited to the amount you paid for the course concerned.

9. Changes and the law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.

10. Contact
